Overview

The opti 12 is the only water heater with patent pending ultrasonic flow sensing technology providing quiet, efficient and guaranteed operation. With advanced power modulation, built in diagnostics and wireless compatibility the Opti 12 heats to within 1 degree of set temperature. Heat up to 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) to 105°F given an inlet water temperature of 72°F. It supports a 2-bathroom home in warm climates, or acts as a point of use in colder climates. The Opti 12’s compact modern design.

They ping high-frequency sound pulses through the pipe, measuring the time it takes for echoes to bounce back from particles or bubbles in the flowing water. By comparing travel times between upstream and downstream signals, they calculate the water's speed, and with the pipe's known diameter, they instantly reveal the flow rate!
