The reason I converted from hot water tank to tankless was that I have a Roman Tub and the water would always go cold before it was full. I went with the 27Kw and I'm glad I did at this time of the year with the inlet temperature below 70° I only get about 3 1/2 gallons a minute but I do keep the temperature set at 135°. When summer comes again and my inlet temperature goes back to 80°I'm sure I'll get over 4 or 5 gallons a minute. This unit is tops with easy replacement of elements does not have a water flow paddle wheel it has ultrasonic sensing, many other brands use the paddle wheel and they will go bad. Electricity draw is proportional so whether you buy the 18 Kw or 27 Kw . For example, if you use 1 gallon per minute, electricity draw will be the same out of each unit, as you increase water flow it only uses electricity for the water it is heating, it doesn't run at 27Kw all the time. I was able to run 2 Showers and a Dishwasher with no problem. I really love this unit. I would recommend this unit to anybody who is looking for a good quality unit.

Incredible customer service
Last night we finally got all the plumbing ran and we were ready to switch from the old tank and run water through our new 27+ optimal. Drum roll and we were getting an error code ouch! Here stands my poor husband who is wet, cold and smells awful from being under the house. I sent an email about 11:30 pm cst and within 5-10 minutes I got a call from Ryan Florida. My husband actually left to go shower and Ryan said call me back when you are finished. 20 minutes later and we called Ryan back and he answered his phone. He walked us through everything and showed us extra things our new optimal machine would do. This man went WAY above and beyond to help us out. We had not water at all and he made sure we were up and running even though it was after 1 am his time. So far I’m super impressed with my 27+ optimal tankless water heater and the customer service is unmatched! Thank you again Ryan for all the support!
